ECCCSC Meeting Minutes April 24th, 2023

Elk City Community Center Steering Committee  Meeting Minutes   April 24, 2023  Elk City Elementary    Meeting called to order by Adam Geyer at 5:02 pm. Members present were Adam Geyer, Sheena Geyer, Sue Phillips, Heather Kestner, Mike Edmonson and Greg Coon. Absent was Lamar Johnson.    Two meetings were held previously with no minutes necessary, one on February 27th to assemble survey envelopes and one on April 3rd to input paper surveys into an online spreadsheet.    Meeting called primarily to discuss results of the survey. There were 532 surveys mailed out with 88 responses. It was decided that in the cases where two names were on the returned survey, it would be counted as two results considering there were also couples who sent their surveys in separately and it was initially unclear that it would be one survey per individual and not household. ECCCSC Meeting Minutes for February 6th

 Elk City Community Center Steering Committee Meeting Minutes  February 6, 2023  Forest Service Conference Room  Meeting called to order by Adam Geyer at 5:05 pm. Members present were Adam Geyer, Sheena Geyer, Sue Phillips, Lamar Johnson, Heather Kestner, Mike Edmonson and Greg Coon. Three guests were present.  Minutes from previous meeting were emailed to committee members and approved prior to the meeting to allow for the posting of minutes.  Committee guidelines/rules were discussed, it was agreed that it would be beneficial to start forming some guidelines that may rollover if an actual board and bylaws were developed in the future, as the formation of a 501c3 would require them. It had been previously discussed to refer to alternate nominees from the committee selection process should a current committee member resign their position.  The final survey was gone over with a few additions discussed.  Elk City Community Center Steering Committee Meeting Minutes  January 9, 2023 5pm  Forest Service Conference Room  Meeting called to order by Adam Geyer at 5:05pm. Members present were Adam Geyer, Greg Coon, Heather Kestner, Lamar Johnson, Mike Edmonson, Sheena Geyer and Sue Phillips. Eight guests were present.  Minutes from previous meeting were emailed to committee members and approved prior to the meeting to allow for the posting of minutes. Recap of what the Steering Committee has completed so far to update guests on progress including positions on committee, mission statement, and survey questionnaire. Concerns brought by guests were addressed, mostly concerning the order of progress. ECCCSC Meeting Minutes for November 28, 2022

Elk City Community Center Steering Committee Meeting Minutes November 28, 2022 5pm Forest Service Conference Room Meeting called to order by Adam Geyer at 5:02pm. Members present were Adam Geyer, Heather Kestner, Lamar Johnson, Mike Edmonson, Sheena Geyer and Sue Phillips. Absent was Greg Coon. Minutes from previous meeting were read, motion to accept by Heather, second by Sue. It was brought up that Elk City has a unique identity and we should work toward incorporating that identity into the Community Center should one be built.  The draft survey questionnaire was gone over and will be revised with two additions: secured storage to amenities and annual fundraising to funding section. There was discussion on how we can reach outside of the community to individuals that may want to support a community center here in Elk City, may look at putting some information in the Idaho County Freepress.
